It has been nineteen long and peaceful years since the downfall of Lord Voldemort. The pieces have been picked up, lives that were destroyed during the second wizarding war have been mended, as best they could be. And currently, everything looks bright. But somewhere in the darkness, an evil sleeps, waiting, biding its time until it can strike. A threat that could spell trouble for all witches and wizards across the globe. An Evil Awakens, what side will you be on?

Awakening is a Harry Potter RP set nineteen years after the battle of Hogwarts and the death of Voldemort. We are a low word count community with a character driven plot line that will revealed more and more as we gain members and time processes naturally. We invite all HP and RP fans to join us here and make a story that will be worthwhile.

Wizarding World Side Plot:

After nineteen years, Minister for Magic Kingsley Shacklebolt has decided to retire. Shacklebolt had taken up the mantle of Minister of Magic immediately following the downfall of the Dark Lord Voldemort and along with Harry Potter; the two worked tirelessly to arrest and try every known follower of the Dark Lord. His legacy is one of peace; the magical world is in a peace that it had not seen since before Grindlewald.

With the announcement of his retirement, a successor has been named. Royce Everett, a former employee of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement who had moved into position to succeed the minister upon his capture and interrogation of Rudolphus Lestrange and assisted fundamentally in the arrest of more dangerous Death Eaters since that time.

But unknown to Minister Everett, there is a spy within the ministry walls, a spy whose allegiance is to those Everett had worked hard to capture. Rumblings and whisperings of the rise of a new leader have passed by the people, Everett has assured them that it is all they are, rumblings and whispers, but deep down he knows that something is amiss.

The spy within the ministry is making things hard; Everett knows that something isn’t right within his walls but he also is unsure as to who the agent of chaos is, it could be his assistant, all the way down to the ministry janitor. He knows however if the culprit is not stopped, it could mean the end of his short career as Minster of Magic.
