Biography
History:
Royce Everett was born June 1st, 1974 to Walsh and Moira Everett, a witch and a muggle man from Scotland. Royce had a normal childhood and he always doted on his mother, mystified by her ability to enact charms and spells as simply as she did; his father was a good man who worked a muggle job with the Scottish government, which is where Royce started to develop his interests in politics.
In 1985, Royce was accepted into Hogwarts. His mother had been worried that he had not inherited her magical abilities but was delighted and elated when he had gotten his letter. The family immediately went to Diagon Alley to purchase all of his needs; it was his father’s first experience with wizards and witches other than his immediate family members. Once school started, Royce was sorted into the Gryffindor house almost immediately.
He had always been a quiet child but all of that seemed to change when he arrived at Hogwarts. Royce quickly became the class clown, always trying to make people laugh, even if it caught him detentions. Quidditch was also something that Royce had been interested in as he joined the house team in 1987 as chaser, quickly becoming more popular within the halls of Hogwarts.
Royce had taken his interest in politics and applied them to his studies; he had made a goal of joining the Ministry of Magic his top priority and he knew the best way to do this was to become an auror within the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Royce studied and practiced during all of his free time while still managing to balance his social status and his antics within the halls of Hogwarts.
He graduated Hogwarts in 1992; the same year that Harry Potter had saved the school from the Basilisk that had been petrifying the muggleborn students. Royce made an effort to be friends with the young boy, but his time was short due to being in his seventh year. The most he knew about Harry Potter was that he was a hell of a seeker, and braver than any kid of his age.
Royce began working at the Ministry of Magic, training to become an Auror. It was during this time that he met his wife and six months later they were married. Royce was present at the battle for the Ministry, when it was revealed that Lord Voldemort truly was alive and back in power. Again Royce watched Harry Potter save his friends, but also experience a loss, the loss of the only father figure he truly ever knew. Royce understood how that felt; his father had recently passed himself from a heart condition. It was from this time on that Royce befriended Harry Potter and would contact him at times.
After the Battle of the Ministry, Royce was named an official Auror and he joined up with the Order of the Phoenix in effort to battle the Death Eater threat, this was where he befriended Kingsley Shacklebolt, who took him under his wing, filling that spot that his father left when he passed. In 1998 was when Royce watched as his friends and loved ones sacrificed themselves to protect Hogwarts and the Boy Who Lived. Royce participated in the Battle with his brothers and sisters in arms, he watched as Remus Lupin and Nyphadora Tonks were killed; Royce tried his best to save them, but it was too late. That changed Royce, he vowed to stop the Death Eaters once and for all. Then Harry Potter killed Voldemort, the war was over; but the battles still raged.
New Minister Kingsley Shacklebolt promoted Royce in 1999 to Undersecretary, he told Royce that he had what it took to be Minister of Magic at some point; and if he kept up his good works, it would happen. Royce gained notoriety in 2000 with the successful campaign he led against Rodolphus Lestrange and a small group of Death Eaters who took their orders from Lestrange. Royce interrogated Lestrange and got the names of a large amount of Death Eaters which led to their capture and imprisonment.
Also in 2000 the Everett’s welcomed twins, Abigail ‘Abby’ Everett and Aiden Walsh Everett. They started Hogwarts in 2010.
Since the capture of Lestrange, Royce has worked alongside Kingsley Shacklebolt and friend Harry Potter to finally end the Death Eater threat. In early 2017, Minister Shacklebolt retired and named Royce Everett his successor. Royce has been working to ensure those captured in Azkaban cannot escape and prevent further Death Eaters from coming forward and causing issues. Royce Everett has a hell of a job ahead of him.

In the past few days since the establishment had been open, a few low level ministry employees had come in for a drink. The location of the Roadhouse made it convenient for those leaving the ministry to stop by for an after work drink or a quick lunch. Much to his annoyance; even Death Eaters had come in a few times to get food, but no one ever high enough to recognize who he was ever waltzed into the pub, until today. Alistair took another drink of the whiskey he had before him, sat it down and walked behind the bar and stood in front of the man that he knew.
It wouldn’t surprise him if Beckett did not know who he was; Alistair was just an auror and a trainer. Beckett was a department head and Alistair made sure he knew the names and faces of every head while he was in the ministry. His goal was to be the head of law enforcement, but due to obvious reasons, that didn’t work out. Alistair had been one of the best and one of the youngest aurors that the department had in recent history, so perhaps Beckett knew who he was on that alone. He knew what Beckett was and his skin crawled a bit, but the point of the Roadhouse was a safe haven for all, and that included Death Eaters as well, to an extent.
Grabbing a bowl of bar nuts, which was strangely popular in muggle pubs, he placed it before Beckett along with a glass of water. Alistair made eye contact with the man and gave him a slight smile, he attempted to make everyone welcome, and he knew that he was here for other reasons then to have a drink, or maybe he was just paranoid. His business licenses cleared in the ministry along with his liquor licenses, so he knew that this was not an inspection; but he also knew that he was a Death Eater and that Alistair was a former auror who had brought in Malfoy during the attack on Diagon Alley, and he was able to stun a few when they surprise attacked the ministry; but his fight didn’t last long once a co-worker had been killed. Alistair was lucky he survived the attacks, both of them.
His mind flashed back to that day in the Ministry, the smell of Durant’s flesh and hair still vivid in his nostrils; a smell that one never really was rid of. He remembered the smug faces of the Death Eaters that attacked the ministry, Lestrange, Creed, especially Wentzell. There was nothing he could have done; except leave, make a haven for all of those running, and even a place for those in charge to have a few moments of personal space; it was an easy living, especially once the hunters came in and needed a job, that was when it was fun.
Waiting on the man to order; Alistair wiped off a burbon bottle that had been put on the wrong shelf by one of his part timers; he definitely needed to get someone in here to run the place properly, he was no bartender.
